Signed a cooperation agreement for the Richards Bay 1,600 MW combined cycle gas power plant project in South Africa
On September 3, China Energy Construction International Group and South Africa’s Pacowe Group signed a cooperation
agreement for the 1,600 MW combined cycle gas power station project in Richards Bay, South Africa.
The project is located in the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone on the eastern coast of South Africa, and the developer
is the South African Phakwe Group. The planned capacity of the project is 1,600 MW, equipped with 2 sets (1+1) GE9HA.02
combined cycle units, and the planned construction period is 36 months.

Signed a letter of intent on loan conditions for the Songon Gas Power Station Project in Côte d’Ivoire
On September 4, at the China-Côte d’Ivoire Economic Cooperation Forum, China Energy Construction Songong Energy Co., Ltd.
signed a letter of intent on loan conditions for the Songong Gas Power Station Project in Cote d’Ivoire with Standard Bank,
Atlantic Bank and Pan African Bank of South Africa.
The project is located in Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d’Ivoire, and consists of a power station and power transmission and
transformation parts. Songong Project Company is the main investment entity of the project and has signed a franchise agreement
with the Ivorian government with an operating period of 35 years. The power station is the first non-recourse greenfield energy
investment project in Africa by a Chinese-funded enterprise.

Signed a memorandum of understanding on technical exchange and cooperation with the National Energy Development Institute
of South Africa
On September 4, at the China-South Africa Economic and Trade Forum, China Energy Engineering Corporation and the National
Energy Development Institute of South Africa signed a memorandum of understanding on technical exchange and cooperation.
According to the memorandum, the two parties will carry out technical exchanges, joint research, and technological innovation
cooperation in the fields of renewable energy grid integration, power system planning, new energy storage, and network-based
technologies. Relevant cooperation will effectively promote the sustainable development of clean energy in South Africa and
help South Africa achieve low-carbon transformation under the premise of reliable power supply. It is of positive significance
for China’s “going out” of new power system construction technology and experience.

Signed a memorandum of cooperation on energy and power development in Sudan
On September 4, under the witness of Burhan, Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, China Energy Construction
International Group signed a memorandum of cooperation in the energy and power field with the Sudanese Ministry of
Energy and Petroleum and AEECO. All parties will jointly plan and cooperate in the development of Sudan’s energy and

Signed a cooperation agreement between Zimbabwe Qiwu Wind Power and Selous Photovoltaic Power Station
On September 4, under the witness of Sydney Gatta, Executive Chairman of the Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority, China
Energy Construction Gezhouba International Company and Shandong Dingneng New Energy Company signed cooperation
agreements for the Zimbabwe Qiwu Wind Power Project and the Zimbabwe Selous Photovoltaic Power Station Project respectively. .
The Selous photovoltaic power station project includes the EPC project of the 100 MW photovoltaic power station and the
outgoing transmission lines connected to the Selous 330/132 kV substation or the on-site substation of the Central African
smelting plant. The Qiwu wind power project includes the EPC engineering of the 100MW wind power project and the external
transmission lines.

Winning the bid for Namibia’s Ogungo-Oshakati water supply pipeline and ancillary engineering project
On September 5, China Energy Construction Gezhouba Group received the notice of winning the bid for the Ogongo-Oshakati
water supply pipeline and ancillary projects (Lot 1) in Namibia.
The project is located between Oshakati and Ogongo in northern Namibia. It is planned to build a fiberglass water supply pipeline
with a total length of about 20 kilometers and a design capacity of 455 cubic meters per hour. After the project is completed,
drinking water will be delivered to all users along the Ogongo-Oshakati route, which will greatly improve local water supply
needs and promote local economic development.
